We are proud to announce that DOING NGO participated in the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from March 11 to 22, 2024. This session brought together governments, NGOs, and civil society to address global issues affecting gender equality and the empowerment of women.
Our founder, Chirin Abbas, was officially registered as a representative for the session through our collaborative work with Maat for Peace, Development and Human Rights Association, an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
This was a significant opportunity for DOING NGO to contribute to international discussions and advocate for policies that support gender equality and women’s rights. During the session, we engaged in formal meetings, side events, and networking opportunities to share insights and amplify the voices of women and marginalized communities.
We are proud to have made meaningful contributions to the global dialogue on women’s empowerment and to have collaborated with other organizations to advance shared goals.
Stay tuned for updates on our ongoing work and initiatives inspired by our participation in CSW68!
